I got this for my wife’s birthday in late October. By Mid January it’s falling apart. As far as the fit goes, it fits her perfect, 5’3″ woman. For me it would be too small. 5’11” man.She carries a few knives, a small emergency pack, wallet etc in this. Lots of compartments and fantastic otherwise. I really wish it had held together. I would NOT recommend this product because of this.

Seems like there are widely differing reviews of this backpack. For under $20 I am very happy with it. Many folks are complaining about the straps and the D-ring issue but if you restring them it will hold just fine. So, the nylon material feels sturdy and doesn’t feel cheap, I don’t think it’s 600 denier but…hey it’s an inexpensive backpack. The straps and buckles and zippers all were in good working order and there is some padding on the straps and the back face to add a little comfort. The zippers are metal and seem to all work well. There is a Y strap that comes from the bottom and covers the pockets on the outside the connects on the top. I think this is added support for the bad once you start loading it. It does have to be disconnected to open up the other compartments fully though which some folks are completely irate about. It has tons of compartments and little holders, although many of the internal pockets seem to be for pens and such. I don’t think anyone would need to carry that many pens. This bag has something like 6 pen holder compartments. The size seems to bother people as well, see attached photo with a ruler and a Swiss army knife for scale. No it’s not a gigantic bag that will hold 3 weeks of emergency supplies. It is a great day pack that seems rugged enough to take what most of us will throw at it. Now, on to the D-rings!!! So many folks are going nuts about the straps on this pack. The top of the straps (where your shoulders will be) are connected to the pack with a 3 set of D-rings. My bag came with the straps threaded through the middle of the two topmost rings out over the top of them and then down through the bottom one. If you pulled on it with any tension the straps will slide out. However, I don’t think the folks at the factory in China know how to string the straps. If you take the strap and thread it up through the rings and then over the outside of the top one and then down into the other two (see photo) it locks up just fine and I couldn’t pull it out.So, is this bag perfect? No. Is it a great deal at $20 or less, sure! I think the biggest thing to worry about is quality control. If you happen to get a lemon just contact Amazon and have them rectify it. If you get a good one…great! I bought another one for my wife, absolutely perfect size for her.I try to make my reviews engaging and useful. Loved this backpack. That is until the stitching came apart for no apparent reason. I used this bag very lightly, there is no wear on it yet at all.
